HeDian ("we", "the app") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

## What we collect

### Account information

When you sign up, we collect:

- Email address (for sign-in and account safety)
- Username (optional)
- For Sign in with Apple users, the anonymous user identifier provided by Apple

### Usage data

- The ingredients in your bar
- The recipes you've saved
- The recipes you've created
- Recipe cover images you've uploaded (stored on Tencent Cloud COS)

### Device information

We may collect basic device details (iOS version, device model) for troubleshooting. This is never used to identify you personally.

## How we use this information

Information is used only to:

- Provide and improve app features
- Verify your identity and protect your account
- Respond to your support requests
- Fix bugs and improve the experience

## Information sharing

We **do not** sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We rely on these third-party services:

- **Tencent Cloud** — server hosting and image storage
- **Apple** — Sign in with Apple (only for users who choose Apple sign-in)

## Data security

- All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS
- Passwords are hashed; we cannot read your plain-text password
- Servers are hosted in Tencent Cloud data centres in mainland China

## Data retention

We keep your data for as long as you use the app. To delete your account and associated data, please [contact us](/en/contact).

## Children's privacy

HeDian is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Policy changes

We may update this policy occasionally. For significant changes, we'll notify you within the app.
